Children's content

I think back to my many influences as a child. I have had some major influences that have directed the course of my life and led me to where I am today. Some of those influences include shows such as . . .
- Twlight Zone
- Krofft Super Show
- Muppet Show
- Sesame Street
- Electric Company
- SchoolHouse Rock
- Munsters
- Pippi Longstocking
- anything Disney
- Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island

Some other influences have been . . .
- Mad magazine
- Awesome All Stars monster baseball cards
- King Kong, Godzilla, Rodan, and all those cheesy monster movies
- Universal Monsters such as Frankenstein, Wolman, Dracula, and the Mummy
- music from my moms old 45' collection (paul anka, elvis, neil sedaka, and others)
- Jim Hensen, Walt Disney, Tex Avery, Rod Serling, The Nine Old Men, Bob Dorough,
Sherwood Shwartz,

I grew up in the greatest age of entertainment and television. Nothing now can come close to what I watched every Saturday on the Saturday Morning cartoons. I worry about what my kids will watch. I worry that entertainment is corrupting our kids.

so I create.

For the past 15 years, I have been in creation mode. I have written story after story. I have individual binders for each idea, project, animated show, and storybook. I am now moving into a producing mode, where I am moving forward with the production of these ideas.

I am more than ready.

I want to provide good, clean and memorable entertainment for kids. The kind that I enjoyed growing up watching.

They deserve it!

My latest pitch

Here is one of my latest pitch projects. Whether I get any bites from co- production partners, it really doesn't matter. I think I have a fun/ clever show idea that is worth pursuing. So I am already moving forward. It is hand drawn in 2d, but since I have over 11 years of 3d experience, I am mixing the mediums. It will primarily be 3d with lots of 2d elements. If the ad doesn't comminicate that there will be plenty of fun and clever humor, than I just may catch a few off gaurd, because it is a fun show.  Posted by Picasa

and so it goes

I read an article today about a new clinic that is opening up to help people who are addicted to video games.
man......I just don't get it.
I mean, I like a good fun video game challenge once in a while...but to become addicted?

what is our world coming to?

Now, I am not anti games....however, just like anything......we should use things with control and with moderation. Kids need chores, rules, and time to develop talents. What is that kid going to offer the world when they are out on their own? What will he/she offer to their family when they get married?

A talent ay killing mutants? I don't think so.
